Amst. invet. / I. Sadeler Sculps. FRANCOFVRT AD MOENV. 1587"; (from Theodor Bernard of Amsterdam) didactic inscription engraved below:
"At tibi cui paret uarijs obnoxius AER
Motibus, ut tua sint mitia regna precor
Sic nos trae euenient spiracla salabria vitae,
Atqz accepta sibi haec commoda luno feret"
