Laccabue Ligabun Ligabue
Rome, Salemi, 1977, on behalf of Edizioni del Maestro dell'ES. 47 x 34 cm
Elegant and refined art publication relating to the artistic work of the painter LIGABUE, embellished with the five original etchings that were engraved by Ligabue in the 1950s, “...pulled by hand press and on Pescia paper from the Miliani paper mill in Fabriano at the M2M art printing house in Rome”.
The etchings are:
- Self-portrait
- Pointer with night landscape
- Cockfight
- Hare
- Crawling leopard
The work also contains a copy of the typescript “L'Altro Inizio” by Bagnasco-Zavattini. In addition to the five original etchings by Ligabue, printed in 150 copies, there are also two engravings, one on zinc from an etching by Zavattini himself and depicting Ligabue, while the other is taken from the woodcut by Arnaldo Bartoli and dedicated to a square in Guastalla, so dear to the painter. Beautiful publisher's binding in very heavy cardboard (illustrated with a portrait of Ligabue), and cloth spine with lettering.
