Sepia pastel (or sanguine pencil) drawing by Paolo Vetri (Castrogiovanni, Enna, Sicily, 1855 - Naples, 1937). Signed lower right. Datable between the late 1800s and early 1900s. Dimensions: 24x17 cm (image, excluding passepartout and frame). Original mounting and framing. Vetri was a student of Domenico Morelli and a professor at the Institute of Fine Arts in Naples. He executed fresco mural decorations and paintings in numerous churches in Ragusa, Molfetta, Naples, Cosenza, and Amalfi. Cit. G.L.
