Drawing by Paolo Vetri, 19th Century Sicilian Artist

Sepia pastel (or sanguine pencil) drawing by Paolo Vetri (1855-1937), signed lower right. Datable between the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Dimensions: 24x17 cm (image, excluding passepartout and frame). Original mounting and framing. Vetri, a student of Domenico Morelli, was a professor at the Institute of Fine Arts in Naples. He executed mural decorations in fresco and paintings in numerous churches in Ragusa, Molfetta, Naples, Cosenza, Amalfi.
